Overcoming Bullying
Often we think of bullying in school as a physical encounter. Yet, bullying occurs through more subtle ways.
Bullying can occur through the use of crude jokes and humor. This could even come from one’s friends. It also happens when you move to a new place, or a country. The result is taunts, nicknames, jokes, and being excluded from everyone else. This causes students to withdraw, not just from their peers but family as well. Students can push back by talking about their experiences and surround themselves with caring people.
