Young people, referred to as Millennials, are experiencing relationship problems due to too much self-esteem. This is according to Dr. Jean M. Twenge, PhD.
Twenge notes that Americans born between 1982 and 1999 they were taught that they were special, capable, and they should always put themselves first. When it came to relationships, Millennials were taught how to use skills they need to be by themselves but are unprepared when it comes to relationships. This leads to feeing or behaving in ways that are disconnected from other people.
