Darcy is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) for the Village Counseling and Wellness clinical team. She specializes in working with teens and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, transitional life issues, family and relation conflict, and career navigation. Her clinical experience comes from working with those struggling with addictive and compulsive behaviors including, but not limited to, substance use, gambling, sex and pornography, eating disorders, and those transitioning out of the criminal justice system.
Darcy is a compassionate, relaxed and collaborative therapist that is firmly rooted in understanding the client as a whole person. She enjoys co-creating a healthy clinical relationship with her client where healing can happen within the client’s individual journey.
Darcy received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. She has her Bachelors of Science in Child and Family Studies with a Minor in Addiction Studies and Prevention and Communication and Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University. Previously, Darcy has worked at Beit T’Shuvah and Profound LA residential addiction treatment centers.
“My favorite thing about working with our clients is developing the necessary skills to manage and move through the complex experiences associated with pain, confusion, shame, or fear and help them individually overcome their barriers.”
When she is not working, Darcy likes to play with her puppy, spend time with family, and snack on popcorn.
