Andrew Gibson is a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) Intern at Village Counseling and Wellness. He is currently pursuing my MSW in Clinical Social Work at Case Western Reserve University. Within his studies, his focus is on helping members of the LGBTQ+ community navigate through life transitions and helping folks learn skills to help them find their life worth living and advocating for the LGBTQ+ rights movement, specializing in trans rights.
Andrew enjoys listening to client’s stories and learning from individual perspectives. He believes that having an open mind and heart allows for a nurturing and growing environment that is a two way street for his clinical work. His experience in working in a Emergency Department Technician at Torrance Memorial Medical Center and a Crisis Response Team Member EMT at Community Bridges has given him the ability to assist with clients with a wide range of diversity, backgrounds and levels of care.
“My favorite thing about working with our clients is watching them overcome barriers and unlock their true authentic selves.”
When Andrew is not working, he loves finding the best sunset spots, lazy days and nachos.
