4-Week Online Parenting Program
Parenting a teen is hard under normal circumstances.
During this time of crisis, parents need more support than ever.
In direct response to these complex and unusual circumstances, Village Counseling and Wellness is launching a new 4-week support program specifically for parents of teen. This program is not therapy per se, but will be a support and psychoeducational group for you.
The purpose of the group is to provide support to you and other parents who are facing similar challenges right now. It will also be a place to learn different skills and strategies to support your kids during this time.
We know you’re worried about your child’s future and if you’re like most parents, you’re probably thinking about all the worst case scenarios that could develop from this situation. That’s why we created this group – to provide you with a safe place to vent, connect, brainstorm, and problem-solve the challenges you and your family are facing right now.
Here are the details for this program:
- The group will meet weekly in the evenings for 4 weeks
- We will be using a secure, HIPAA-compliant Zoom room (with a waiting room feature to avoid any chance of “zoombombs”)
- Our first session will be Thursday, April 9
- Both parents are invited to join the group, but we do request that each parent join using a separate computer to maximize engagement in the group
The registration fee for the group is $275. We do have a limited number of reduced fee spots to available to people in our community. These will be awarded based on need and availability.
This workshop is currently available to parents of current teen clients. We expect to start a new 4-week session for our community members in the coming weeks. If you are interested in learning more about this program, please contact us.
